Founder
Tom Chase McKenney is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill). He was an infantry officer, parachutist, and special operations officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Korea and Vietnam. Retired in 1971 for disability incurred in Vietnam, he is a Bible teacher and writer, active in veterans' affairs and pro-family issues. He is married to the former Marty McKinney; they have 4 children, 12 living grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Joe McCormick, Christian artist, illustrator, and cartoonist, veteran of short-term missions, and veteran Believer's Retreat Board Member.
John Lambert, retired Christian police officer, regular volunteer worker at a local crisis pregnancy center, retreat share group leader veteran of many years, and enthusiastic hiker and appreciator of God's beautiful creation.
